How We Built It
We sequenced the build so the deck ledger was membrane-flashed into the wall before a single panel of board-and-batten went up, which is the step that keeps view-lot decks from leaking a decade later. The TimberTech field was framed to the manufacturer's tighter on-center spec for the picture-frame border, the stone veneer went in over a drainage mat with weeps at the base course, and the cedar tongue-and-groove ceiling was back-primed before install to keep it stable over an unconditioned space.
